Sumit Dhimal, a 7 year old boy lives with his mother and grandmother in an old traditional home. His mother works as a helper in a local school and earns Rs.1500 – 2500 ($ 18.75 – 31.25) per month. Due to the dire financial condition of the family and lack of job opportunities at home, his father was forced to go to Qatar for employment, for which the family had to take loans. However, all the dreams of better life were shattered when Sumit’s father was not able to earn enough even in Qatar. The money he made doing a petty job was barely enough to suffice his own sustainability in Qatar. Despite all the hardships, Sumit’s father manages to send a meager amount home which has to be used to pay off the loan the family took.
